Neutral facilitation of negotiation

Maria Asimakopoulou is accredited by the Hellenic Ministry of Justice and registered in the General Register of Mediators under number 3741 for civil, commercial and family disputes.

When acting as mediator, she is independent and neutral and does not decide the dispute. This role is distinct from acting as legal counsel for one party in a mediation conducted by another mediator.

What does the mediator do?

The mediator is independent and neutral. The mediator does not issue a judgment or impose a solution, but helps the parties communicate and explore a mutually acceptable agreement.

Is the process confidential?

Mediation takes place within a framework of confidentiality, under the applicable rules and the participants’ written commitments.

Can a mediated settlement be enforced?

Under the conditions provided by law, the record of settlement may be filed with the competent Court of First Instance and become an enforceable instrument.
